My lathe placard calls for 20w oil not easy to find locally. I bought a Leblond lathe and would like to change the oil in the head. The placard calls for 20w - 20 motor oil. I am finding it difficult to find locally and the oil I find online is a bit expensive. The lathe is aI am wondering if oil technology has changed and there is a better oil to use now and possibly more readily available.
